Who is hosting?
RAAS Chhatrasagar was established as a continuation of the conservation efforts initiated by Harsh and his family in the year 2000. Initially, the camp consisted of just six tents situated on the dam overlooking the rain-fed reservoir. The goal was to maintain a balance between the heavily mined Aravalli hills and the over-farmed surrounding landscape. The area was strategically located between the Seervi farmers and the Gujjars, a shepherd community, which helped maintain the ecological balance.
The camp's location off the main link road connecting Jaipur and Jodhpur was perfect for travelers seeking a peaceful and restful stopover. After driving on country roads for four hours, guests could continue their journey to Jodhpur, which was just over two hours away, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Nikhilendra and Dhananjaya Singh, brothers who also manage Raas Jodhpur and Devigarh, have taken over the management of the camp and continue to provide guests with warm hospitality.
