Shillong is a hill station in northeast India and capital of the state of Meghalaya. It’s known for the manicured gardens at Lady Hydari Park. Nearby, Ward’s Lake is surrounded by walking trails. North, the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures features displays on the region’s native people. Waterfalls include the Elephant Falls to the southwest. East of here, forested Shillong Peak offers city views. Cherrapunjee, also known as Sohra, is a high-altitude town in the northeast Indian state of Meghalaya. It’s known for its living root bridges, made from rubber trees. To the northeast, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point overlooks verdant gorges. In the surrounding hills, the Noh-Kalikai, Dain-Thlen and Kynrem waterfalls plunge from forested clifftops. South of town, Mawsmai Cave is illuminated to show its stalagmites.

Itinerary Package 1


Day 1: 

Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to Kaziranga (250 Km / 5 hrs drives approx). Check in Hotel.Overnight in Kaziranga.


Day 2

After breakfast jeep safari. Back to Hotel check out and
drive to Shillong (290 kms / 7 hrs drive approx). Check in
at hotel. Overnight in Shillong.


Day 3

After breakfast we trek to Double Decker Living Root Bridge - 3-4 hours from the Resort. Distance 4 km down and up 1000 feet approx. This trek goes down hill through village Sohsarat. The steps are relatively steeper in two short stretches. Half the distance is covered by steps
going down hill. Then there is a jungle path going along the sides of the hill leading to the Living Root Bridge with a few steps after short stretches of sloping foot path. Moss thrives on these sandstone steps during the monsoon and makes them slippery. Back trek to Starting point. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.


Day 3

You will be traveling to Cherrapunjee – the wettest place on the earth. En route visit the famous Elephant Falls. At Cherrapunjee visit – Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park, Koh Ramhah. Overnight halt.
Note- Falls are active in monsoon


Day 4

After breakfast excursion to Mwallynong (100 km / 3 hrs drive approx). Visit Umgut river. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay.


Day 5

After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport (140 km/ 4 hrs drive approx).
